Got my Leo Kottke 12 string back from being all dialed-in at the Taylor factory - plays better than when it was brand new!
I've been playing a few gigs here and there; getting back into the music scene and it feels good to be performing more regularly. I actually learned a NEW SONG! Well, not really "new" but new to my repertoire!
I have been spending a lot of time working on my show (fixing stuff, soldering things, updating gear, redoing my system, programming lights, etc.). It seems like "yesterday" when all my gear was so state-of-the-art but it is a major reality-check to wake up to the fact that my gear is incredibly VINTAGE now!
I like vintage (as in my 170 year old Italian violin!) and in some ways, vintage is better because a lot of things nowadays are junk and not made to last (made in China). So my show just needs some TLC, no problem.
I seriously need to update this website of mine but as a web developer/programmer, my site is always the lowest priority; kind of like a busman's holiday - the last thing I want to do on my time off is work on yet another website! ha ha
I do have some big ideas brewing for an extreme makeover for this site and hopefully I will be able to find time to get that done sometime soon.
Thanks for stopping by!
